Dr Vijay BDS
Dr R P Vijayanarayanan (known as Dr Vijay)

Dr Vijay qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1994. He has since run several general practices and founded the Evolution Dental Group in 1998. He has attended many postgraduate courses in all aspects of Implant dentistry both in the UK and abroad. He has been placing implants since 1999 and completed a 1 year course in Implantology in 2004 based in London and Paris.
He launched Evodental in 2007 as a clinic limited to offering dental implant solutions and advanced oral reconstruction only. Outside work he has two young daughters that keep him busy and is a football fanatic!

I combine my role as a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the position of Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery at the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I undertook my General Clinical Training as a General Dental Practitioner in Manchester and Sheffield. My Basic Surgical Training took place in Manchester, Carlisle and London and I completed my Higher Specialist Surgical Training in Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Manchester in 2000. This training included surgery of the mouth, surgery for facial injuries and fractures, surgery for facial disfigurement, and surgery of the salivary glands and jaw joint. I have a special interest in bone graft reconstruction and advanced oral implant surgery. My clinical commitment includes consultation and treatment in out-patient clinics, day-case and in-patient operating.
As well as my surgical training, I also have an MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a PhD in Neuroscience. I am an editor with the Cochrane Collaboration Oral Health Group and I sit on the editorial board of the Journal of Surgery and the British Journal of Oral Surgery. I am also president of the Dental Anesthesiology Research section of the International Association for Dental Research and past Chairman of the Dental Sedation Teachers Group.
I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning. I am an external examiner for several institutions across the country as well as being a member of the Higher Education Academy. The second edition of my textbook of oral and maxillofacial sciences called 'Master Dentistry' was published in 2009 and has just been translated for distribution in China.
I was promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer and Head of Department in 2000, Honorary Consultant in 2001 and Personal Chair in 2004.
I have recently completed a four-year term as Director of Graduate Education and Research in the School of Dentistry.
Dr Pachter BDS
Resident clinician Evodental
Dr D Pachter qualified from the University of Manchester in 2007 after working for a year in the national health service, he moved to the private sector to pursue his interest in Implantology and oral reconstruction at Evodental.
His main passion is in the prostheses that are used in implant reconstructions, which he is currently assisting with here. He will be learning also about the surgical side of Implantology and whilst working here will be attending courses in the UK and abroad.
Out side of work he is a football fan and follower of Everton FC , he is also interested in keeping fit and cooking .
Steve O’Brien
Managing Director
Stephen O’Brien Qualified in Liverpool in 1984 and has over 20 years experience in the banking sectors as a business manager. He joined Evolution in 2007 to oversee the development of the company into a leading player in the provision of world class patient’s care and dental implant services.
Zoe Walmsley NEBDSA (University of Manchester)
Clinical Dental Nurse
Zoe Walmsley Began training as a general dental nurse in October 1989 and went on to obtain the national certificate in dental surgery assisting at the University of Manchester in November 1991. She then worked for the same general practice until December 2005 which is when Dr Vijay took over.
Since then she has developed her dental nursing skills further in assisting Dr Vijay with many full mouth reconstruction procedures including implant placements and smile designs.
