Following the latest lockdown down measures announced by the British government on 4th January 2021, as a medical primary care provider, we are still open during lockdown.

Treatment at EvoDental is within the specific purpose circumstances that you can leave your home, stated on the government website as “Medical reasons – You can leave home for a medical reason, including to get a COVID-19 test, for medical appointments and emergencies.”

Dentistry is an essential medical service. Patients are entitled to travel for medical appointments, including dental.
It is important to continue to look after your health and wellbeing even during these uncertain times.
We take our responsibility to our patients and our staff extremely seriously and want you to know that you are in safe hands.

Temperature Taken at Reception

You may be asked to wait in your car until your appointment time to limit the bodies in the building at one time, again this is something our staff will discuss with you prior to your appointment. Your temperature will be taken upon entry to the building and you will be asked to sanitise your hands and wear a mask at all times.

Private Patient Suites

We want our patients to be assured, that if you do need to use our waiting rooms, they are individual patient suites that are a very safe and comfortable place to be – no communal waiting rooms at EvoDental. Social distancing will be enforced throughout the clinic and each patient suite has been thoroughly deep cleaned prior to your arrival. The contact between yourself and staff will be kept to a minimum ensuring you only see the staff needed ie the treating clinician, nurse, and your treatment coordinator.

Enhanced PPE

As you may be aware, our clinics were already adhering to high infection control standards and always a very clean and safe environment. However, we have placed hand sanitisers at entry points and redesigned the patient journey in line with social distancing. We have invested heavily in appropriate personal protection for our staff when carrying out treatment, our enhanced PPE and IPC (infection prevention control) are above NHS guidelines and our surgeries will now have a more effective flow and after each patient’s appointment a quality assured machine will be used to disinfect the air before the next patient is seen. You will notice that our staff may appear like something out of a sci-fi film, do not be alarmed it is still us in our enhanced PPE. We want to emphasise the extent of our already excellent cross infection control procedures and personal protective equipment has always been to the highest standard. The word “enhanced” is moving our already high standards to a new level with advanced risk assessments and new protocols having been put in place to ensure everyone’s safety. As we say, it is strange times we find ourselves in, but as humans we learn to adapt and overcome.

Hypochlorous Acid Fogger

Our Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) Fogger rapidly decontaminates spaces by distributing controlled HOCI decontaminant into the air within a room. The decontaminant kills and inhibits the growth of a broad range of microbes including Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, virus, yeast mould and fungus – all without causing harmful side effects, , as HOCl is a naturally occurring chemical within our bodies.

Radic8™ Virus Killer

Our already high standard of infection control now includes Radic8 Viruskiller machines which are installed in all of our treatment rooms! This machine is the highest certified clean air technology in the world. The Viruskiller creates a controlled airflow in any indoor setting by drawing contaminated air away from the breathing zone, sterilising it and then sending it back into the breathing zone. This will greatly reduce the risk of cross contamination through airborne and droplet particles.
