What is the all-on-four treatment?

All-on-four is a treatment concept that involves placing fewer dental implants than multiple single or sectional treatments, in order to fit a screw-retained prosthetic. This treatment is suitable for those who are suffering with missing or failing teeth, or failing dental treatments like bridges or dentures.

EvoDental offers an advanced alternative to all-on-four dental implants in Manchester. Many people are told by their dentist that they are unsuitable for the all-on-four treatment, due to factors such as low bone levels. Our treatment is able to overcome this through advanced implant techniques, thanks to the expertise of our clinicians. For instance, we can add two more implants to a patients upper jaw, in locations such as the Pterygoid or Zygomatic bone, resulting in a strong, robust and fully functional smile when the prosthetic is fitted.

This solution can be life-changing for patients who are suffering with missing, failing or broken teeth, or if previous dental work like bridges or dentures are now failing. We offer a free consultation for those who are suitable for our advanced alternative to all-on-four dental implants in Manchester.

Together with our on-site labs and advanced digital workflow, we are able to perform the surgery, place your implants, design and manufacture a completely unique prosthetic and then fit it all in one day.

Why choose all-on-four dental implants as a treatment?

Free 90 minute consultation and clinical assessment

During this consultation, one of our clinicians will talk to you and explain every part of what the treatment involves and how it will help. You’ll be able to ask all of the questions you have in mind, and will leave the meeting with a clear understanding and the ability to make an informed decision on how you’d like to proceed.

We’ll take details of your medical history and perform a CBCT scan that will provide us with a hyper-accurate scan and image of your oral health. this includes any bone loss or failing teeth.

As well as this, one of our friendly patient coordinators will talk you through the finance and scheduling options you have available. Then, you’ll be able to leave and have time to consider how you would like to proceed. We’ll be on hand whenever you would like to talk and discuss anything, so don’t worry if something comes to mind after the meeting.

Day of surgery

Once you are happy to proceed, all of your treatment information will be validated before the day of your surgery. For patients based in Manchester, the most convenient clinic would most likely be our Liverpool practice. On that day, you’ll arrive at our clinic and will be taken to your own private patient suite.  Then, you’ll move to your treatment room where sedation will be administered and, pain-free, any remaining teeth will be extracted and your new implants will be placed.

Afterwards, you’ll return to your private suite to rest and relax. During this time our on-site lab team will be finalising the design of your new prosthetic, before manufacturing it there and then. This will be prepared, and then later on in the day your clinician will fit the prosthetic. You’ll leave for the day with a brand new set of fixed teeth, being able to get used to eating the food you love and enjoying your new smile.

12-14 week check up and definitive fit

After a few weeks, your final prosthesis will have been produced by our in-house lab technicians. You’ll return to the clinic to have this fitted.

Since your surgery, your implants will have fully integrated into your mouth. This will mean that the final prosthesis, which is reinforced, slimmer and more aesthetically pleasing, will be able to be fitted.

Six month signoff

Six months later, you’ll return to the clinic so that we can check that your implants have integrated fully, and that your prosthetic is performing as needed with a proper and comfortable chewing function. If any adjustments to the fit are needed, we’ll be able make that happen, as your gum will have healed and the fit may be able to be improved even more.

Maintenance visits

We always encourage our patients maintain their new teeth, in the same way that you would care for your natural teeth. It is important to brush twice a day, and use the waterpik  water flosser we will provide you with in order to maintain your prosthetic. We also recommend that patients visit us every few months, so that we can make sure everything going well with your implants.
