Rickesh Bhopal
Clinical Lead & Specialist Prosthodontist
Ricky is a GDC Registered Specialist in Prosthodontics with a practice dedicated to advanced restorative dentistry, implant rehabilitation and full-arch treatment. As Clinical Lead at EvoDental Dartford, he combines specialist expertise with a meticulous, patient-centred approach to help people regain not only their smiles, but their confidence and quality of life.
Graduating with BDS Honours from the University of Manchester in 2014, Ricky received numerous academic awards, including the prestigious Charles H. Preston Prize Medal, Highest Overall Student, Highest Performance in Final Examinations and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. He later completed hospital training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery before undertaking four years of specialist training in Prosthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and King’s College London, graduating with Distinction and joining the GDC Specialist List.
Ricky’s passion lies in complex implant rehabilitation, particularly immediate full-arch treatment and the restoration of patients with failing dentitions, advanced tooth wear and severe bone loss. He has extensive experience in advanced implant surgery, digital workflows and revision implant treatment, providing highly personalised care for even the most challenging cases. His philosophy is centred on careful planning, clear communication and evidence-based decision making to achieve long-lasting, predictable outcomes.
Alongside his clinical work, Ricky has a strong commitment to education and professional development. He is passionate about mentoring fellow dentists, delivering lectures on implant dentistry and prosthodontics, and supporting clinicians in developing their surgical and restorative skills. He previously served as Chair of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) Next Generation Committee, helping shape educational opportunities for young implant dentists across the UK and sits on the main ADI Board.
Ricky believes exceptional dentistry is about far more than technical skill alone. He understands that many patients feel anxious about treatment, particularly those requiring full-mouth rehabilitation, and takes pride in making every patient feel listened to, informed and supported throughout their journey. His calm, approachable manner, combined with meticulous attention to detail, allows patients to feel confident they are receiving the highest standard of specialist care.
Outside of dentistry, Ricky enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his wife and two young children. He has a keen interest in technology and innovation within healthcare, and enjoys exploring new ways to improve both patient experience and clinical outcomes.
